The Rug Couture wordmark. Founded in 2008 Rug Couture have been producing bespoke rugs and runners for the public and to the trade for the last ten years. They have just opened their first showroom on London’s Portobello Road.
For their brand identity Museo was paired with the related typeface Museo Sans. Museo was chosen for their wordmark for its modern appeal and semi-slab serifs which extended from its lines creating the impression of weaving in and out of the surface.
This provided a broad typographic palette with each typeface having five weights plus their italic variants. This was exploited across the range of Rug Couture’s visual materials to create visual interest.
A selection of spreads from the brochure showing the development of a simple grid befitting its smaller size.
The white space present in the design of their online presence was also retained in this design to create a contemporary and airy feel.
Responsive website design produced to accompany the launch of their central London showroom and hard launch of their designer ranges. Web copywriting by the designer. Bootstrap development by Murray Longworth.
We created a number of templates and interchangeable modules using the Bootstrap framework all of which made substantial use of their beautiful photography; placing the product centre stage.
